Stretch hoodie — This style hoodie is sleeker than other options because of its lycra content. The stretch hoodie lacks any logo treatment and usually zips down the front. A black stretch hoodie can be paired with jeans, creating a look that will take you from errands to dinner to drinks and maintain your ‘effortlessly cool' vibe all day.
Amy McCusker, 29, of Brighton agrees.
“I like the versatility of the hoodie,” she says. “I enjoy ones that zip because you can get two looks in one. And if you are heading out to the movies, it might be cold in there. You grab the hoodie, and you'll be all set.”

Sewing details also will create a more formal look, so search for characteristics such as ruching (gathers or puckering) and stitched patterns. Less drab, more fab. The dressy hoodie gets it done.
